Job summary

ResponsiveEd’s Special Education Instructional Aide position in Fort Worth supports students with disabilities under the guidance of the classroom teacher and campus administration. Qualifications

• Must graduate high school or have GED.
• Three creditable years of experience as Educational Aide I or II or 30 college hours in child growth and development.
• Experience working with students or parents is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in educational and social development under the direction of the classroom teacher and campus administration.
• Assist in implementing IEPs and monitor progress.
• Provide support for individual students inside and outside of the classroom.
• Work with other professionals such as speech therapists and therapists.
• Maintain student records and assist in scheduling ARD/REED meetings.
• Ensure compliance with state mandated assessments and administer assessments as needed.
• Prepare resources and staff to support general education teachers for students with disabilities.
