Job summary

Founders Classical Academy of Fort Worth is seeking an Instructional Aide in Special Education to assist the classroom teacher and campus administration in supporting students with diverse needs. You will help implement IEPs, monitor progress, and coordinate with speech therapists and therapists to maximize student learning opportunities.

The role requires collaboration with parents and staff, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with state assessments and ARD timelines.

Qualifications

• Must be a high school graduate or GED.
• Three creditable years as Educational Aide I or II or 30 college credits with child growth emphasis.
• Certification course from an Education Service Center is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in educational and social development of students under teacher and campus administration.
• Assist in implementing IEPs and monitor progress.
• Support students inside and outside classroom to participate in activities.
• Collaborate with professionals such as speech therapists and occupational/physical therapists.
• Maintain student records and assist in ARD/REED processes to meet timelines.
• Coordinate contracted service providers as needed.
• Ensure progress data informs better education services and update IEP report cards.
• Prepare time and resources for teachers to achieve education goals for students with disabilities.
• Ensure compliance with state assessments and alternative assessments.
• Support RTI process with campus administrator.
• Communicate with parents, students, teachers, and admins.
• Follow school board policies and procedures; maintain required documents.
