Job summary

Centria Autism in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking Behavior Technicians to support children with autism. You will work one-on-one under a BCBA, applying evidence-based strategies to build communication, social, and daily living skills.

No previous experience required; comprehensive training provided. You will stay active with the kids—standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds—as part of a dedicated team making a real difference in families' lives.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification and TB test (if you haven't had one in the last year).
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children to implement behavior intervention plans under BCBA guidance.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.
• Collaborate with team and families to support progress.
