Job summary

WellLife Network is seeking a DSP Supervisor to coordinate daily staffing and oversee resident care in a residential program in New York. The role focuses on empowering residents toward independence, with duties spanning care provision, data entry in Avatar, and medication administration.

You will supervise Direct Support Professionals, train staff, and participate in interdisciplinary planning with families, ensuring safety and program fidelity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
• 1–2 years experience working with the developmentally disabled.
• Valid NYS Driver’s license required.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily staff assignments and maintain the Residence.
• Provide care to residents to enable independence and productivity.
• Supervise DSPs; train and orient staff.
• Assist residents with personal needs and activities of daily living.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team process and family contact.
• Dispense medication and maintain medical certification.
• Coordinate recreational activities and transportation to appointments.
• Communicate information to staff via logs and reports.
• Maintain residents' financial accounts as requested.
• Attend staff meetings and in-services.
• Perform duties per DSP job description.
• Intervene physically if necessary and administer first aid.
• Complete AMAP, CPR, SCIP, First Aid training; use EMAR system.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Other duties as requested.
