Job summary

WellLife Network is hiring a Direct Support Professional to coordinate daily staff assignments and maintain the residence. You will provide comprehensive care to residents, supervise DSPs, and support independence and community participation.

The role requires strong computer literacy, data entry, and ability to administer medications with proper certification. A driver’s license and good teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years experience with developmentally disabled individuals is necessary.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• A valid NYS Driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily staff assignments and maintain the Residence as per policy.
• Provide all aspects of care to program residents to foster independence.
• Enter consumer data documentation in Avatar.
• Supervise DSPs, distribute work, train and orient staff.
• Assist consumers with personal needs and activities of daily living.
• Participate in interdisciplinary planning, evaluation and monitoring of cases.
• Dispense medications and maintain medical certification.
• Coordinate and participate in recreational activities and transport to appointments.
• Maintain confidential information and complete required trainings (AMAP, CPR, SCIP, First Aid).
