Job summary

Hope the Mission is seeking a Learning & Development Specialist (Program Manager) to design, develop, and deliver training across our shelters. This role focuses on onboarding, ongoing staff development, and specialized training in trauma-informed care, de-escalation, crisis intervention, and safety protocols, with content tailored to shelter operations.

Travel to program sites is required up to 50% of the time; the position reports to the Director of Organizational Development and contributes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science, Education, Human Services, or a related field is required.
• Minimum 2 years of training experience required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred; homeless or social services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver training across the Hope the Mission workforce.
• Facilitate onboarding and ongoing staff development.
• Provide shelter-specific training in trauma-informed care, de-escalation, crisis intervention, emergency procedures, and safety protocols.
• Coordinate training logistics and track completion and outcomes.
• Collaborate with shelter managers and external vendors.
• Travel to program sites up to 50% of the time.
• Develop management and leadership training programs.
