Job summary

Constellation Health Services is seeking a Contracted Speech-Language Pathologist to work in our Bridgeport, CT location. This 1099/contract role involves leading evaluation, planning, and delivery of speech-language services in a public school setting for students with identified or suspected needs.

The SLP will administer screenings, conduct comprehensive evaluations, interpret results, and develop and implement intervention plans aligned with IEP goals.

Qualifications

• Gathers information needed to evaluate a child by reviewing records and communicating with the school team.
• Administers screenings in school-based settings and determines appropriate recommendations.
• Runs the evaluation process and selects appropriate assessment instruments.
• Interprets assessment results to develop or modify speech therapy intervention plans.
• Plans and implements intervention strategies across service delivery models.
• Participates in the IEP process and collaborates with the school team.
• Communicates effectively with education personnel, parents and community members.
• Provides accurate documentation of assessment and intervention results.
• Facilitates transition among agencies and programs as service provision changes.
• May supervise Level I/ Level II field work students and mentor newer SLPs.
