Job summary

Constellation Kids in Rocky Hill, CT is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to lead evaluation, planning and service delivery for students with identified needs in the school setting.

Newly licensed SLPs are welcome to apply; CCC is required. Typical duties include screenings, evaluations, IEP collaboration, documentation and inter-agency transitions. The role may involve supervision of students and collaboration with educators and families.

Responsibilities

• Gathers information to evaluate a child by reviewing records and school team input.
• Administers screenings in school settings and makes recommendations.
• Conducts evaluations with appropriate instruments considering age and placement.
• Interprets results to develop or modify speech therapy plans.
• Plans and implements intervention strategies across service delivery models.
• Participates in IEP processes and team decisions.
• Communicates effectively with educators, parents and community members.
• Documents assessment and intervention results accurately.
• Facilitates transitions among agencies as services change.
• May supervise Level I/II field work students.
• May mentor newer SLPs.
• Identifies emergencies and acts to ensure child safety.
• Other duties as assigned.
