Job summary

Talbert House in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Behavioral Health Counselor - Dependent to join our school-based team. You will provide individual and group counseling, develop treatment plans, and coordinate services to support students’ social, emotional, and mental health needs.

Under supervision, you will collaborate with teachers, families, and community resources, applying trauma-informed and culturally responsive approaches to promote student well-being and academic success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in social work, counseling, or related field per Ohio licensure.
• Current Ohio LSW or LPC license; LISW/LPCC eligible if applicable.
• 2–5 years of clinical counseling experience preferred.
• Experience with children, adolescents, families, or school-based programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to students.
• Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to coordinate interventions.
• Conduct assessments and prepare diagnostic summaries under supervision.
• Maintain active caseload and timely documentation.
• Engage families and caregivers to support student progress.
