Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks a Resilience and Emergency Management Intern for our Orlando, FL office. This role supports resilience, emergency management, disaster recovery, grants, planning, and infrastructure initiatives for public-sector clients.

No professional experience required; 60 credit hours toward a degree preferred. You will assist on research, data collection, preparation of deliverables, and coordination across teams, with mentorship and opportunities for career exploration within

Qualifications

• 60 credit hours toward a degree completed by internship start.
• Preferred fields include Emergency Management, Public Policy, GIS, Planning, or related disciplines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with AI-enabled productivity tools.
• Ability to learn SharePoint and other project systems; strong analytical and communication skills.
• Exposure to ArcGIS, Power BI, Smartsheet, Adobe Acrobat or FEMA grant systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support resilience and emergency management projects through research, data collection, and meetings.
• Review and organize grant applications, plans, and project records.
• Prepare correspondence, summaries, maps, reports, and briefing materials.
• Maintain datasets, dashboards, SharePoint, databases, and spreadsheets for reporting.
• Conduct data visualization, GIS support, and review program guidance.
• Perform QA/QC on project documents and deliverables.
• Collaborate with grants specialists, engineers, PMs, clients, and stakeholders.
• Perform other duties to support project and organizational needs.
