Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Resilience and Emergency Management Intern to join our Tampa, FL office. This role supports resilience, emergency management, disaster recovery, grants, planning, and infrastructure initiatives for public-sector clients.

No professional experience is required; the internship offers hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities to engage in client site visits and internal development activities.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a degree program with at least 60 credit hours completed before start date.
• Preferred study areas include Emergency Management, Public Policy, Geography/GIS, or related disciplines.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support resilience and emergency management projects through research, data collection, and documentation.
• Prepare correspondence, meeting summaries, reports, maps, and client deliverables.
• Maintain datasets, dashboards, SharePoint sites, and project records.
• Conduct data analysis, visualization, mapping, and GIS support.
• Assist with QA/QC of project documents and compliance with program requirements.
• Collaborate with grants specialists, planners, engineers, and clients to support delivery.
