Job summary

Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics (CAO) seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. You will document in electronic medical records, perform tests and measurements, and administer treatments within scope to reduce pain and improve function.

The role requires collaboration with medical staff, adherence to insurance guidelines, CPT/ICD-10 coding, and maintaining licensure with CEUs; evening shifts may be required; strong

Qualifications

• Requires degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• State licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• CPR for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care 100% of work time with documentation in medical records.
• Performs tests and measurements such as strength, ROM, and functional capacity.
• Administers treatments under PTA supervision to improve function and reduce pain.
• Communicates progress with supervising Physical Therapist and updates plan as directed.
• Meets CAO productivity standards and documents outcomes per regulations.
• Codes CPT/ICD-10 and submits billing as directed by the PT.
• Adheres to insurance guidelines and coordinates care with referrals and authorizations.
• Collaborates with other medical providers to support patient recovery.
