Job summary

Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics LLC (CAO) is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to administer therapy under a Physical Therapist's oversight. The role aims to restore function, relieve pain, and support the established care plan.

The PTA will perform tests, document patient progress, code services, and coordinate with the PT and other providers. Occasional evenings or travel to other CAO locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant degree.
• State licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• CPR for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Experience with electronic medical records.
• Proficiency with CPT & ICD-10 coding procedures.
• Knowledge of Medicare and third-party billing.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care 100% of work time with documentation in medical records.
• Perform tests and measurements (strength, ROM, sensory, functional capacity) as directed by PT.
• Administer treatments under PT supervision to reduce pain and improve function.
• Communicate progress with supervising PT and adjust plan as directed.
• Document treatments and CPT codes; assist with billing as directed by PT.
• Ensure compliance with insurance guidelines and authorizations.
• Collaborate with other medical providers to support patient recovery.
• Participate in therapy team activities and CAO events; may work at other CAO locations.
• Obtain CEUs and maintain PTA licensure as required.
