Job summary

The Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics LLC (CAO) is one of the nation’s largest orthopaedics practices with over 60 locations and ~2,000 employees. This role supports direct patient care, documentation in EMR, and collaboration with therapists to restore function and relieve pain.

The PTA role requires an accredited PTA program degree, state PTA licensure, and CPR certification. The position may involve evening shifts and occasional weekend hours to support clinic operations.

Qualifications

• A degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• State licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• CPR for Healthcare Providers certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care 100% of work time with documentation.
• Performs tests and measurements such as strength, ROM, and functional capacity.
• Administers treatment under Physical Therapist direction and plans of care.
• Communicates progress to the supervising PT and adjusts plans as directed.
• Meets productivity standards and documents in patient charts per regulations.
• Selects CPT codes and supports billing as directed.
• Ensures compliance with insurance guidelines and referrals.
• Collaborates with other medical providers to aid recovery.
• Participates in therapy team activities and may assist at other CAO locations.
• Maintains licensure and CEUs as required.
