Job summary

Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics LLC (CAO) in Columbia, MD is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to carry out clinical treatments under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. You will perform direct patient care, document treatments and assist with care plans to restore function and reduce pain.

The role requires an accredited PTA program degree, Maryland PTA license, CPR certification, and proficiency with electronic medical records. Some evenings or Saturdays may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• State licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the practicing state.
• CPR for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Experience and proficiency working with computers and electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care as part of CAO therapy team.
• Performs tests and measurements such as strength, ROM, and functional capacity.
• Administers treatment under the supervision of the Physical Therapist to improve function and reduce pain.
• Maintains documentation in patient records and completes CPT codes as directed by the supervising PT.
• Coordinates care with other providers and participates in team meetings.
