Job summary

WeCare at Sugar Creek Care Center in Franklin, PA is seeking a motivated Physical Therapist Assistant to help residents improve mobility and reduce pain. You will work under the supervision of a physical therapist in an outpatient setting.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited PTA program with a current state PTA license; outpatient experience is preferred. We offer health, dental, vision, voluntary benefits, a 401k with discretionary match, and flexible pay options.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA Program.
• Current State PTA License.
• Outpatient experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Making modifications to treatments as directed by the physical therapist to help the patient progress or to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Preparing patients and equipment for therapy and implements treatment plans as instructed, including exercise, stretching, applying modalities, and functional mobility training.
• Recording patient's reaction to treatment and providing status reports at the end of each treatment.
• Using assistive devices and other equipment to help patients regain movement and reduce pain.
