Job summary

WeCare Centers in Franklin, PA is seeking a motivated Physical Therapist Assistant to help residents improve mobility and move forward. You will work under the supervision of a physical therapist in an outpatient setting, supporting treatment plans and mobility training.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited PTA program with an active PTA license in the state and outpatient experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current State PTA license required.
• Outpatient experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Making modifications to treatments as directed by the physical therapist to help the patient progress or to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Preparing patients and equipment for therapy and implements treatment plans as instructed, including exercise, stretching, applying modalities, and functional mobility training.
• Recording patient's reaction to treatment and providing status reports at the end of each treatment.
• Using assistive devices and other equipment to help patients regain movement and reduce pain.
