Job summary

The Rehab Centre in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Staff Physical Therapist Assistant to support the Staff Physical Therapist in delivering resident-centered care. You will help treat residents, document accurately, and maintain a safe environment while following infection control and safety protocols.

Working with the nursing staff and interdisciplinary team, you will communicate progress and discharge planning, educate residents and families, and assist with training of restorative aides.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Proficient in Net Health and Point Click Care.
• Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and policies.
• Ability to present information clearly to managers, staff, and families.
• Strong mathematical skills for fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
• Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Complete timely, accurate, and compliant documentation.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment with infection control and equipment protocols.
• Participate in Resident Care conferences and Rehabilitation meetings.
• Communicate with the supervising PT to update physicians and staff on progress and discharge plans.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on home exercise, safety, and fall prevention strategies.
