Job summary

San Antonio North Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a Staff Physical Therapist Assistant to support the Physical Therapist in resident care and documentation. The role emphasizes maintaining safety, infection control, and active communication with the care team to update goals and discharge plans.

The PTA will educate residents and families on home exercise programs, participate in care conferences, and assist with staff training while ensuring compliance with state regulations and facility

Qualifications

• Associate degree from accredited PTA program.
• Proficient in Net Health and Point Click Care.
• Ability to read technical procedures.
• Read and comprehend policy and procedure manuals.
• Present information clearly to managers, coworkers and families.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by Physical Therapist.
• Complete timely, accurate, and compliant documentation.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment following infection control protocols.
• Communicate with the supervising PT and interdisciplinary team.
• Educate residents and families on treatment goals and home programs.
• Assist with training of Restorative Aides.
• Contribute to quality assurance and rehabilitation program development.
