Job summary

PACS Group in Texas is seeking a Staff Physical Therapist Assistant to assist the Staff Physical Therapist with resident-related activities and direct resident care.

The role includes treating residents, documenting accurately, maintaining infection control, and supporting rehab programs. You will participate in care conferences, educate residents and families, and ensure timely discharge planning with the PT.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Proficient in Net Health and Point Click Care.
• Ability to read and comprehend policy and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by Physical Therapist.
• Document timely, accurate, and compliant records per requirements.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment per infection control and equipment protocols.
• Participate in Resident Care conferences and rehab meetings.
• Assist nursing department with training of Restorative Aides.
• Communicate with supervising PT about progress and discharge planning.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment goals and home exercise programs.
• Recommend durable medical equipment to facilitate independence in mobility.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents and company information.
• Contribute to quality assurance and rehab program development.
