Job summary

Resources for Human Development is hiring a Program Specialist to support Missouri Shared Living participants, focusing on health, safety and independence. The role collaborates with families, staff, and providers to implement ISPs and ensure high-quality services.

You'll coordinate care, maintain documentation, and assist with training, regulatory compliance, and financial matters while advocating for the needs and goals of the people we serve.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or above with at least 1 year of relevant experience; or
• Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience; or
• Associate’s degree with 4 years of relevant experience; or
• High school diploma with 6 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Support health, safety, growth, and well-being of individuals in the Shared Living program.
• Coordinate and monitor ISPs and ensure goals and outcomes are implemented.
• Maintain accurate documentation including medical records, ISPs, and incident reports.
• Schedule medical, dental, psychiatric, and psychological services per requirements.
• Advocate for individuals and collaborate with families and providers.
• Train and supervise direct care staff and Independent Contractors.
• Assist with incident reporting and corrective action.
• Help coordinate financial matters such as SSI and benefits.
• Monitor program sites for safety, upkeep, documentation, and compliance needs.
• Assist with staff training requirements to maintain compliance.
• Respond to crisis situations and report medical or safety concerns.
• Assist with transitioning individuals into or out of the program and opening new homes.
