Job summary

Armed Services YMCA Hawaii at Wheeler Army Airfield is seeking a full-time Administrative and Program Assistant. You will support operations, manage member data, coordinate events, and assist with reporting while engaging with military families and the community.

Your role emphasizes strong customer service, basic bookkeeping, and comfort with MS Word and Excel. A valid driver's license is required, and you’ll work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide excellent customer service and communicate clearly.
• Willingness to learn new software and adapt to tools used in the office.
• Basic bookkeeping experience or comfort with financial records.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the team to meet program needs and sometimes cover for a program lead.
• Serve as the go-to source for program information and referrals.
• Maintain member data and reference systems, and provide accurate program reporting and statistics.
• Keep the office organized and supplied, and coordinate family and special events.
• Handle phone calls and emails professionally, arranging repairs and maintenance as needed.
• Manage income/expenses, petty cash, and bank deposits; assist with donor files.
