Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Technician I, Prior Authorizations to handle inbound calls from providers, pharmacies and members, delivering professional support through the criteria-based prior authorization process. You will document reviews thoroughly and refer clinical questions to the pharmacist team.

You may assist with outbound calls, processing Prior Auths via fax and ePA, and managing inquiries across department mailboxes under leadership guidance. This is a full-time, 40-hour role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills and MS Office proficiency.
• Ability to document reviews accurately and timely.
• Familiar with healthcare terminology and PHI confidentiality.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to workflow changes.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound calls from providers, pharmacies and members.
• Provide professional and courteous assistance through prior authorization processes.
• Document reviews thoroughly and escalate to pharmacists as needed.
• Assist with outbound calls and processing Prior Auths via fax/ePA.
• Monitor inquiries via department mailboxes and support leadership as needed.
