Job summary

CVS Health Corporation seeks a Technician I, Prior Authorizations to handle inbound calls from providers, pharmacies, members, and others, delivering timely, accurate assistance through the prior authorization process. You will document reviews, and escalate to the pharmacist team as needed.

Responsibilities include outbound calls, processing Prior Auths received by fax and ePA, and monitoring inquiries via department mailboxes, with direction from the leadership team.

Qualifications

• Able to apply basic computer skills and use Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must multitask and operate multiple systems simultaneously.
• Basic pharmaceutical terminology, calculations, and protocols knowledge.
• Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality work.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing workflow and priorities.
• Strong written, verbal, and listening communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound calls from providers, pharmacies, members, and others with courteous professional support.
• Maintain complete, timely, and accurate documentation of reviews.
• Escalate clinical questions to the pharmacist team as needed.
