Job summary

CVS Health Corporation is seeking a Technician I, Prior Authorizations to handle inbound calls from providers, pharmacies, members, and other callers. You will document reviews accurately and transfer clinical questions to the pharmacist team, while supporting outbound calls and processing Prior Auths via fax and ePA.

Requires basic computer skills, Excel/Word, strong multitasking, and solid pharmaceutical terminology knowledge.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office; Excel and Word required.
• Must multitask and use multiple systems simultaneously.
• Basic pharmaceutical knowledge and terminology.
• Ability to maintain high-quality work independently and problem solve.
• Strong written and verbal communication; customer service oriented.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound calls from providers, pharmacies, members, and others with professional, courteous assistance during prior authorization.
• Document reviews completely and timely; escalate questions to pharmacists when needed.
• Transfer clinical questions and judgments to the pharmacist team.
• Assist with outbound calls, review/process Prior Auths received by fax and ePA, and respond to inquiries.
