Job summary

University of Portland invites applications for the CSWS St. Johns Swapnplay Playspace Program Assistant. This student employment position offers 4–20 hrs/wk during Fall & Spring, with pay at $16.80/hour.

The role supports the Playspace program, under the supervision of the Program Director and Executive Director, and requires Federal Work Study funds. Responsibilities include coordinating activities, engaging community partners, and facilitating activities for children at the St.

Qualifications

• Must have Federal Work Study funds in Financial Aid package.
• Students must be comfortable with physical work and working with/around children.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of social media/Google platforms to promote events.
• Availability during business hours Monday–Saturday 8:00am–8:00pm.
• Ability to commute to St. Johns neighborhood.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and host activities for members.
• Contact Community Partners to provide activities.
• Organize and facilitate activities for children.
• Other relevant tasks as assigned.
• Work location: 7535 N Chicago St., Portland, OR 97203.
