Job summary

University of Portland is seeking a CSWS Development & Marketing Associate (Rose Haven) to support the Development Department in digital marketing, outreach, and special events. This fall semester role requires Federal Work Study funds and 6–15 hours per week during 9 am–4 pm, Monday–Friday.

The position offers an opportunity to contribute to a femme-centered community space and gain hands-on experience in communications, outreach, and event coordination.

Qualifications

• Must have Federal Work Study Funds in Financial Aid package.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team-based environment and take direction.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Represent Rose Haven professionally and communicate our mission to the community, including to volunteers and donors with emails, social media, events and more.
• Work with guests to tell positive stories and change the narrative around poverty and houselessness.
• Communicate agency needs externally by writing promotional copy and creating graphics content for digital marketing campaigns as needed.
• Assist with fundraising and guest event setup, promotion and execution.
• Table at community events and fundraisers to heighten awareness of our mission and network with community leaders and potential donors.
• Assist with development interns and committees as needed.
• Organize marketing assets and maintain development calendar and spreadsheets.
• General in-office administration including scheduling, note-taking, file organization, and meeting preparation.
• Represent the mission and values of Rose Haven to guests, staff, volunteers, community partners, and the public.
• Assist with direct service programs and guest events as needed.
• Support with in-kind donations as needed by Development Department.
• Other administrative duties as assigned.
