Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy in Selden, NY is seeking a part-time Physical Therapist Aide to support therapists, prep patients, and assist with treatments. Qualifications

Must be able to cover 15-20 minutes from home, transportation is your responsibility.
Knowledge of Anatomy and Kinesiology is required.
Knowledge of therapy equipment used in practice.
Ability to observe, evaluate and record patient conditions.
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

Serve as a scribe for recording and editing therapeutic exercises under supervision.
Prepare heat/cold therapy, assist with pool activities, and guide patients through exercises.
Ensure operation of treatment equipment and troubleshoot malfunctions.
Educate patients on proper equipment use and exercise routines.
Welcome and prepare patients for therapy sessions; provide comfort as needed.
Answer questions, alleviate fears, and maintain patient confidence and privacy.
Maintain clean, safe environment and manage supplies/inventory.
Provide front desk coverage and assist with scheduling as needed.
