Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy has immediate openings for a Physical Therapist Aide position in Commack, NY. The role supports therapists by preparing materials, assisting with exercises, and coordinating patient flow in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualified candidates will assist with therapy sessions, educate patients, manage supplies, and provide front desk support as needed. This position offers hourly compensation and opportunities to grow within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Must be able to cover 15-20 minutes from home office.
• Knowledge of Anatomy & Kinesiology.
• Knowledge of the equipment used in therapy work.
• Knowledge of patient needs and strengthening techniques.
• Ability to complete in-service training.
• Ability to observe, evaluate, and record conditions in patients.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and welfare.
• Ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a scribe for recording and editing therapeutic exercises under supervision.
• Prepare heat and ice packs; assist patients to the pool; guide exercises and equipment.
• Ensure operation of treatment equipment; perform preventive maintenance; troubleshoot.
• Educate patients by demonstrating proper equipment use and exercise routines.
• Prepare the treatment room and welcome patients to sessions.
• Provide information to patients and answer questions; address requests.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment and confidentiality.
• Handle inventory and supply orders; stock management and deliveries.
• Provide front desk coverage as needed; assist with scheduling.
• Perform other front desk duties and assignments.
