Job summary

Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy in New York is hiring Physical Therapist Aides to join a growing team. You will support therapists by recording exercises, preparing treatment spaces, and assisting patients with therapeutic activities and equipment.

Daily duties include helping with heat/cold therapy, pool-assisted exercises, equipment maintenance, patient education, and front-desk coverage as needed. Evening hours apply.

Qualifications

• Must understand anatomy and kinesiology.
• Familiar with therapy equipment used in treatment.
• Able to observe, evaluate, and record patient conditions.
• Able to create and maintain patient records and brief reports.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a scribe for recording and editing therapeutic exercises under supervision.
• Assist patients with heat/cold therapy, pool work, and exercises as directed.
• Maintain and troubleshoot treatment equipment; ensure clean, safe work area.
• Educate patients on equipment use and prescribed exercises.
• Prepare patients for therapy sessions and provide reassurance.
• Answer calls from physicians, hospitals, and patients with good service.
• Manage supplies and inventory; assist with scheduling and front desk duties.
