Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office is seeking a Peer Support Coordinator to lead meetings, advise on team selection, and liaise with other departments and peer support organizations. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Education, Safety or a related field and a commitment to confidential, trauma-informed support.

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Education, Safety or a related discipline.

Aufgaben

Develop recommendations for policies based on MCSO’s Peer Support services model.
Build and maintain communication between the peer support manager, team members, peers, officers, and staff.
Respond to a peer support request in a timely and efficient manner, keeping in mind the personal preferences of the individual making the request.
Maintain peer support management system to track interactions and results data.
Utilize HR systems to manage proactive connections and provide reporting and anonymous tracking that is based on the Peer Support Team needs.
Develop training that would benefit the organization as it relates to peer support and possible retention efforts.
Develop coaching program that supports the peer support goals.
Coordinate the appropriate MCSO Peer Support Team response following critical incidents or traumatic events as directed.
