Job summary

Pathways to Life, Inc. seeks a dedicated peer support specialist to assist adults and families in home and community settings. You will use lived experience to motivate clients, promote wellness, and connect them with community resources, services, and treatment options.

The role requires NCCPSS credential, sustained recovery, and a clean background check. You will work in diverse environments around Person County, supporting empowerment, self-advocacy, and recovery journeys while collaborating

Qualifications

• NC Certified Peer Support Specialist credential.
• Personal lived experience of mental illness and/or SUD with sustained recovery.
• HS diploma/GED.
• Clean NC Healthcare Personnel/Central Registry check.

Responsibilities

• Apply peer support principles to assist beneficiaries in recovery.
• Share lived experience to support treatment and recovery.
• Provide recovery-oriented skills and guidance.
• Help beneficiaries access community resources and treatment providers.
• Collaborate with program supervisor to assess strengths and growth.
• Model recovery values and foster wellness in the community.
