Job summary

Pride in North Carolina, LLC seeks a Certified Peer Support Specialist to work with individuals facing mental health and/or developmental challenges. The role emphasizes person-centered treatment, collaboration with supervisors, and implementing individualized plans.

Responsibilities include teaching life skills, coping strategies, and health awareness, while providing transportation to activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
• Associate Professional/Paraprofessional or NC Certified Peer Support Specialist certification preferred.
• Valid North Carolina driver’s license with suitable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with individuals with mental health, developmental disability, or substance use issues.
• Maintain communication with qualified professional or supervisor about consumer treatment and concerns.
• Implement person-centered plan and interventions to achieve individualized goals.
• Teach problem solving, coping skills, daily living skills, health and wellness, and social skills.
• Provide transportation to appointments and activities as required.
