Job summary

KIPP Public Schools Northern California is seeking a dedicated PE teacher to design engaging lessons, use data to guide instruction, and foster a joyful, inclusive classroom that emphasizes SEL and Restorative Practices.

You will collaborate with the Leadership Team and Instructional Coach to grow as an educator and leader, commit to equity, and engage in weekly professional development. This is a full-time, exempt role at our Stockton-area schools with a competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution (required)
• Meet one of the following eligibility requirements (required): Hold a valid teaching credential in the subject, or be eligible for General Education Permits/short term permits (CPR certification prerequisites)

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement daily and long-term lesson plans aligned with KIPP’s academic vision
• Analyze student data regularly to inform instruction and support student growth
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and rigorous classroom environment grounded in Restorative Practices and SEL
• Use culturally responsive classroom management to ensure safety, belonging, and high expectations
• Communicate proactively with families, colleagues, and leaders to build strong partnerships
• Engage in weekly professional development and Communities of Practice
• Maintain accurate records including attendance, grades, and behavior data
