Job summary

Mesa Public Schools is seeking an Instructional Assistant Special Education I - Resource at Lincoln Elementary School in Mesa, AZ. This part-time role (29 hours per week) supports certified teachers under supervision, assists with instruction, behavior plans, data collection, and daily living activities.

Requires Associate’s Degree or 60 college credits; high school diploma preferred. Experience with children is desirable. Base hourly rate is $16.56, with performance pay available annually.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or 60 college credit hours required at time of hire.
• Experience working with children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and reinforce classroom objectives, tutoring and guided practice.
• Assist in development of instructional materials and classroom maintenance.
• Collect data on academic and behavior goals as instructed.
• Collaborate to implement positive behavior support plans for students with challenging behaviors.
• Support daily living activities and personal care needs as required.
