Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or 60 college credit hours required at time of hire OR pass the ParaPro Test provided by the district free of charge.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience working with children and ability to work with special education students.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, under teacher’s direction, classroom work/homework and reinforce objectives.
• Assist in development of instructional materials and maintain the classroom.
• Assist in data collection on academic and behavior goals.
• Implement behavior support plans in collaboration with certified personnel.
• Transfer and lift non-ambulatory students as needed.
• Assist with personal hygiene and daily living activities for students.
