Hearing Screening Associates is seeking a part-time Newborn Hearing Screening Technician for the busy Missoula NICU and newborn nursery. The role involves performing newborn hearing screenings before discharge, coordinating with nursing staff, and ensuring infants identified with hearing loss receive timely follow-up information.

Training will be provided, and shifts are 2-3 weekdays with occasional weekends and holidays; typical shifts run 3–5 hours, totaling about 6–10 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year or more healthcare or childcare training/experience is a plus.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to function independently in a high-paced environment.
• Ability to attend all company-provided training.
• Willingness to learn and operate hearing screening equipment.

Responsabilités

• Conduct newborn hearing screenings in well baby and NICU units before discharge.
• Coordinate post-discharge follow-up as needed using appropriate procedures and computer tech.
• Work with nursing staff, patients, and parents to explain screening relevance and outcomes.
• Analyze and communicate responses to issues per company and hospital needs.
• Maintain and use hearing screening equipment and assist with data management.
• Interact with hospital departments per policies and procedures.
• Comply with code of conduct and policies.
• After training, apply knowledge of TEOAE/ABR technology and equipment.
