Hospital for Behavioral Medicine in Worcester, MA is seeking an Intake Clinician for a full-time, day shift with a $30.00–$45.00 hourly salary and a $10,000 sign-on bonus. The role focuses on intake assessment, documentation, and coordination of admissions in an acute psychiatric setting.

Qualified candidates have a graduate degree (RN or master’s in human relations), MA licensure preferred, and 2+ years of intake experience. CPR and CPI training within 30 days are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree required (RN or master’s in human relations).
• Massachusetts licensure to practice as a mental health professional preferred.
• Two+ years’ experience in intake assessment in an acute psychiatric setting; customer contact required.
• CPR certification and CPI training within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Inquiry calls are documented and processed according to Intake policies.
• Patients are assessed and stabilized prior to leaving or admission.
• On call doctor is notified and assisted with patient interview.
• Admission paperwork is completed per hospital policy.
• Intake (EMTALA) log is completed with all information documented.
• Follow-up calls for those who miss appointments.
• Pre-certification obtained per insurance requirements.
• Medication is obtained after hours as ordered by the physician with proper documentation.
