Job summary

LifeCenter Northwest is seeking an Organ Donation Coordinator (ODC) to evaluate donor referrals, conduct medical evaluation, and plan with healthcare teams to preserve donation options. The role supports UDRAI, ME/Coroner communications, and organ recovery activities under SOPs and regulatory standards.

The ODC collaborates with DFA and ORC, mentors family conversations, and may assist in the OR with perfusion and labeling of recovered organs.

Qualifications

• Advanced EMT, Paramedic, Certified/Registered Respiratory Therapist with BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Requires a valid driver’s license and access to an insured automobile or ability to arrive at work-related functions.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or applicable exemption required after offer.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate organ donor referrals and assess donor suitability.
• Coordinate with healthcare teams for donor management and UDRAI interviews.
• Support in the operating room with organ perfusion, labeling, and recovery processes.
• Communicate with Medical Examiner/Coroner and Donation and Family Advocates as needed.
• Respond to ventilated referrals and maintain regulatory documentation.
