Job summary

Network for Hope is seeking an Organ Recovery Coordinator (ORC) to manage the organ donation process from referral to recovery with compassion and clinical excellence. Travel is substantial and on-call responsibilities are required to support donor families and transplant teams.

You will collaborate with hospital staff, ICU teams, and OPTN partners to evaluate donors, coordinate recovery, ensure documentation, and maintain compliance while upholding the organization's mission to save and enhance

Qualifications

• ACLS certification required.
• Bachelor's degree in a health-related field preferred; an associate degree with four years' experience is acceptable.
• RN or other healthcare licensure preferred; exceptional candidates with health-care experience may apply.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with hospital staff and NFH colleagues to evaluate potential organ donors for suitability.
• Respond promptly to donor referrals and conduct medical evaluations.
• Coordinate healthcare personnel in the organ/tissue donation process.
• Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and standards.
• Oversee medical management of potential organ donors and coordinate ICU/hospital staff.
• Provide compassionate support and information to donor families.
• Organize and facilitate organ recovery, including OR schedules and transport logistics.
• Assist surgical teams during organ recovery and ensure proper preservation and transport.
• Work with transplant centers and OPTN to allocate organs to recipients.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
