Job summary

Volunteers of America Los Angeles is seeking a Case Manager (Specialist) to provide intensive on-site case management to eligible clients, meeting weekly and coordinating services across a range of human services.

The role requires a fingerprint clearance, a relevant degree or equivalent experience, and a minimum of one year in case management. VOALA offers competitive benefits and a dynamic, mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Social Work or related field or a combination of education and relevant experience (Two years’ total).
• Completion of VOALA Case Management training within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum 1-year general experience in case management or similar social services role.
• Fingerprint clearance and background check required.
• Ability to handle stressful situations with challenging clients.

Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive screenings and assessments to develop a case plan.
• Provide service linkages and support systems to meet identified needs.
• Coordinate planning with clients for short- and long-term goals.
• Coordinate case conferences and monitor progress of clients on case plans.
• Advocate for clients before community and service agencies as needed.
• Document and chart group education sessions clearly and concisely.
