Job summary

PACS is seeking a Staff Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat residents, coordinate with families and physicians, and maintain thorough documentation in medical records.

The role includes supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, developing individualized treatment plans to improve mobility and independence, and participating in care conferences, staff training, and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy; state licensure required.
• Masters/Doctorate in Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Proficient in Net Health and Point Click Care data entry.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine OT needs and rehab potential.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans to improve mobility and independence.
• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants in resident care.
• Communicate with physicians, nursing staff, residents, and families regarding progress.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation in accordance with policies and payer requirements.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment and educate residents and families on goals and home programs.
