Job summary

PACS is seeking a Staff Occupational Therapist to evaluate residents, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance mobility and independence. The role includes supervising assistants, documenting care, and educating families.

Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor's in Occupational Therapy (Masters/Doctorate preferred) and licensure; strong computer skills with Net Health and Point Click Care are expected.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy; Masters/Doctorate preferred.
• Language: Ability to read technical procedures and policies.
• Math: Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine OT needs and rehabilitation potential per physician orders.
• Develop, implement, and update individual treatment plans to improve mobility and independence.
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and staff helping with resident care.
• Communicate progress and discharge plans with physicians, nursing staff, residents, and families.
• Participate in care conferences and rehabilitation meetings as needed.
• Document timely and accurate information in medical records and adhere to regulations.
