Job summary

Assemble seeks a Development and Marketing Manager to lead annual fundraising and marketing strategies in the Pittsburgh region. You will expand donor relationships, manage campaigns and events, and oversee communications to support financial growth.

Reporting to the Executive Director, you will supervise the grant writer, development staff, and interns, while collaborating across departments to advance Assemble’s visibility and community impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent nonprofit experience.
• Must have management and supervisory experience.
• Proven donor relations and fundraising event experience.
• Experience with marketing and graphic design preferred.
• Experience working with the Garfield community and Pittsburgh arts/education landscape.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to meet revenue goals.
• Lead fundraising events and campaigns, managing budgets and timelines.
• Cultivate donor relationships across individuals, corporates, and foundations.
• Oversee donor messaging, appeals, and communications across channels.
• Oversee grant research, writing, submission, and reporting with the Grant Writer.
• Identify corporate donors, create sponsorship packages, and steward partners.
• Manage annual marketing strategy and budget to grow visibility and giving.
• Coordinate program marketing materials and digital content increase awareness.
• Lead development team and mentor staff and interns.
• Collaborate with leadership and Board on fundraising progress and strategies.
