Job summary

WellStar Health System is seeking a Night Shift Environmental Services Technician to join our hospital team in Marietta, GA. This full-time role covers evenings to nights and emphasizes thorough cleaning, patient room sanitation, waste handling, and patient safety via proper PPE and lifting techniques.

You will use Epic to coordinate bed and patient flows and participate in infection prevention, room turnover, and compliance with hospital standards.

Qualifications

• Fluent English; reading, writing and understanding basic instructions in English.
• Completion of the Departmental Training Program within the first 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs full range of restroom cleaning and patient room cleaning following hospital protocols.
• Follows infection prevention protocols and selects proper chemicals for cleaning tasks.
• Maintains cleaning of walls, doors, floors and equipment; proper waste and linen handling.
• Uses PPE correctly and follows lifting techniques to ensure safety.
• Documents daily assignments and uses Epic system to manage beds and patient flow.
