Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Marietta, GA is seeking an Environmental Services Associate responsible for cleaning patient rooms and hospital areas in accordance with infection prevention standards and department protocols.

You will handle waste, use PPE correctly, and interact professionally with staff, patients and visitors. Training is provided on site to ensure safety, compliance, and excellent service across shifts.

Qualifications

• Fluent English is required; ability to read, write and understand basic instructions in English.
• Complete the Departmental Training Program within the first 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs the full range of restroom cleaning and complete patient room cleaning following cleaning protocols.
• Follows infection prevention protocols and selects proper chemicals to accomplish tasks.
• Performs routine cleaning of walls, doors, glass, furniture and floors; maintains waste streams according to type.
• Proper use of PPE and correct lifting techniques to ensure safety.
• Complies with hospital policies and procedures and uses Epic to maintain bed and patient flow.
