Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Housekeeper – Environmental Services Technician for the Night shift. The role involves cleaning patient rooms and restrooms according to hospital protocols, following exact infection prevention procedures and PPE guidelines to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

The position requires the ability to read and follow instructions, complete training within 30 days, and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Fluent English is required; able to read, write and understand simple instructions.
• Complete departmental training within first 30 days of employment.
• Experience in healthcare or environmental services is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform full range of restroom and patient room cleaning following protocol.
• Follow infection prevention and PPE guidelines during cleaning tasks.
• Remove trash and linen according to waste streams guidelines.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely.
• Document daily assignments and coordinate with staff as needed.
