Job summary

The Landings of Mills River is seeking a compassionate Medication Aide - SIC to support our clinical team in administering medications and providing specialized care to residents in our community.

Responsibilities include accurate documentation, resident monitoring, and collaboration with healthcare professionals to ensure safety and high-quality care. A state certification as Medication Aide is preferred, with on-the-job training available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• State certification as Medication Aide preferred (on-the-job training available).
• Experience in senior care or healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed, ensure proper dosage and documentation.
• Specialized Care Support: Provide personalized care for residents with specific medical needs and assist with ADLs.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate medication records and report adverse reactions or errors to supervising nurse.
• Resident Monitoring: Observe for side effects or changes in condition and alert healthcare team as needed.
• Medication Storage & Handling: Store medications safely and comply with state regulations and facility policies.
• Collaboration: Work with nursing staff and physicians to ensure optimal resident care and outcomes.
• Compliance & Safety: Follow all regulations and protocols for medication administration and safety.
