The Landings of Albemarle is seeking a dedicated Medication Aide to safely administer medications, monitor residents, and support the nursing team in a compassionate senior living community in North Carolina.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a state-approved Medication Aide training program preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in healthcare, senior living, or long-term care setting preferred.
• Active Medication Aide certification in good standing with the state.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare, administer, and document medications according to physician orders and company protocols.
• Monitor residents' health status and vital signs; report changes to the nursing team.
• Build positive relationships with residents through compassionate care and effective communication; encourage wellness activities.
• Follow infection control procedures and keep medication carts and records organized and secure; assist in emergencies as needed.
