Job summary

The Landings of Rockingham is seeking a dedicated Medication Aide to join our team. You will administer medications, monitor residents/health status, and support the nursing team in providing high-quality care in a compassionate environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, state-approved Medication Aide training (preferred), and active certification. Experience in senior living is desirable; background checks and drug screening are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of a state-approved Medication Aide training program is preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of healthcare or senior living experience preferred.
• Active Medication Aide certification in good standing with the state is required.
• CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Medication Administration: prepare, administer, and document medications per physician orders and protocols.
• Health Monitoring: observe changes in residents and record vital signs as needed.
• Resident Engagement: build positive relationships and encourage participation in wellness activities.
• Safety & Compliance: follow infection control procedures and keep carts and records organized.
